White Canvas

posted on: 30.9.12

Same pants, different color, for a low cost total look: a whole H&M and Zara outfit.
I like wearing plain tees because they are the most basic fashion element, like a white canvas, they match with everything and you can "paint them" just using your imagination, using details: the wrapped sleeves of the blazer showing the lining, the necklaces, the one I am giving away here, and the beautiful multiwired Liameo necklace, the colors of the creepers that are exactly the same colors of the sunnies and a huge ring of Frida Kahlo (bought in Mexico).
Do you like the outfit?
I wish you a happy weekend, today I'll go to a vintage market hoping I'll find something interesting and tomorrow to ADR for H&M collection presentation, I am so curious. I'll let you know how it is :)

Summer Outfits Recap

posted on: 28.9.12

For this year the warm has gone, I can also forget about going out in shorts and sleeveless blouse now, with a bit of sadness, but  also a lot of curiosity for the coming looks and for what will be my favorite clothes to keep "Onto my Wardrobe".
In this recap you can find a lot of looks from Milan and few looks from Mexico...What were my key pieces for this summer?
- H&M round lenses sunnies (I need to stop wearing those :P)
- Torn jeans (in the following pictures)
- Long skirts and a lot of blouses
- No bikinis ( sadly I did not go to the beach )
- Everything that was comfortable and casual enough to be worn during my Mexican all summer long trip

What remains of this summer is mostly a lot of good memories (a summer with Roberto, meeting his family, and a lot of new friends), new experiences (Like visiting the pyramids in Mexico and eating worms), stress and concerns about my test to enter Architecture ( I passed it).
See you new year, summer!

Fun details from my outfit

posted on: 27.9.12

What's fashion for? To have fun. Even when you are not in the mood to go out, and you want to be completely casual and comfy, the perfect outfit for you exists. This is what happened to me the other day, when after I got sick and I had to stay home all day, but I decided to go out...Choosing the type of cozy outfit we all saw in our mum's old pictures, the one we used to make fun of... vintage, girly, so 80's, so Cyndi Lauper. The part I like the most in the outfit is the details and this is why I concentrated on this for the post: the bag I am wearing is the vintage Gucci I showed you yesterday in the second episode of fashion tips, while the gorgeous necklace with crossed ribbons and golden spikes is from Liameo, german accessories online shop, with low prices and great design pieces.

PS: We took the pictures in Chinatown in Milan, have you ever heard about it?

Autumn, Fake-Leather, Milan

On Friday night I went to Navigli (the beautiful canals you see in the pictures) to drink something with my boyfriend and I managed to wear some of my new items for this A/W: leatherette burgundy pants from H&M I got obsessed with, the asymmetrical Romwe coat worn as a cape and a small one cord necklace, that I matched with the Zara booties from the last collection and the bag I am wearing here, but that I turned into a clutch for the occasion. Do you like it worn in this way?
Burgundy, black and gray are the colors for this A/W, you can also wear studs again and always remember that fashion turned "gothic" for this season.

How did you guys spend your weekend?
On Saturday I went to some events of the FW (unluckily I will join more events only from the next one cause of my bad organization), I met some emergent designers, appreciated some of their works, decided a lot of things about my future projects and I met some lovely bloggers... It was an interesting week.
How did you guys spend your weekend?
Hope you liked the outfit, the pictures, and also to read this brief post. :)

Concert Look

posted on: 21.9.12

Pictures by www.oldscratchedvinyl.com

The perfect look for a concert? Torn jeans, an important top, sunnies and comfortable booties.
I ordered the top from Chicnova last week and it soon became my favorite piece, a bit 20's, a bit rock'n'roll, a bit vintage, the one items I keep "Onto my Wardrobe" in these days. I can't wait to style it in a less casual look! Do you like it as much as I do?
I wore the pants in this post, and other times in Mexico, while the boots (that you should remember :P ) are actual riding boots, bought in a sport big shop. I also got the spiked bracelet from Chicnova and I matched it with my mexican cross bracelet and the gold/black one to add a "metallic" touch to the outfit.
Do you like it?
I am curious to know your thoughts, what is the perfect look for a concert for you?
Would you wear my same outfit?

I also remind you I am running 2 Giveaways right now on the blog, check them out:

Black&White

posted on: 17.9.12

My favorite outfits are those that are always fashionable, those in which I wear simple colors (usually black, nude and white), creating a chic and stylish mix. In fashion I am always attracted by the weirdest things, the most creative ones, but most of the times I end up choosing simple and elegant tones and lines, cause I think that semplicity never fails. It's also true that I never forget to add to my look that detail that makes it more interesting, like a particular accessory, a touch of color, or a single item with a different design.
Last Friday I chose to pop this black&white look with my favorite bracelet from Punch Bracelets, that I love cause of the mix of materials and the bright combination of gold/pink. Don't you love it?
Other details I love are the lace inserts on the chiffon blouse I got from Oasap, as well as the Zara bag's chain, that recalls the gold of the bracelet... I can't believe I got so obsessed with that bag...Maybe it's cause it kind of reminds me of my dream bag from Chanel :P
Do you guys like the outfit?
I want to know all your thoughts!

Trend Report: Embellished Eyebrows

posted on: 16.9.12

Chanel embellished eyebrows

Welcome to the first episode of my "Fashion Tips", in which sometimes I'll discuss with you the most controversial or interesting trends of the season and other times I'll just try to give you some useful advice about easier fashion's topics. Don't forget to contact me if there's something you want me to talk about, email me at ontomywardrobe@hotmail.it.
For today I chose one of the biggest beauty talking points for this F/W: the jeweled embellished eyebrows that Chanel presented in Paris last March. The idea came from two genius minds, starting from Karl Lagerfeld's sketches, that the creative director of Chanel Make-Up interpreted in a totally unexpected way.
Is it possible to rock them off the catwalk? Yes, the time for them has come. Wear them for a special night, for a party or a particular event. Let these graphic eyebrows become the main accessory of your look, pair them with a simple cocktail dress and heels.
Where to buy them? Looking up online I could not find much, and beauty shops in Milan don't sell anything like that. My best suggest would be to DIY (do it yourself). They won't probably look like Chanel catwalk's ones (it took 3 hours for each pair), but you can try to customize your pair, also choosing the type of sequins and little stones, making them less showy or more, depending on your taste. I am going to try and publish the results of my DIY on the blog soon!
What are your thoughts?

Kaleidoscope Print

posted on: 13.9.12

When Givenchy proposed the kaleidoscope psychedelic print, inspired from the 70's, I decided I was going to get something with that print as soon as I could. Unluckily my researches took longer than what I thought, but in the end I found the perfect and affordable silk tee I was looking for on Oasap, that I matched with the perfect siluette skirt found on Romwe...I love how this skirt underlines my waist!

By the way...Have you noticed I cut my hair again? Do you like them ? I think it's a really easy-chic cut :)

Coming next on the blog: a new giveaway you'll love, but for now I just tell you the name of the Chicnova giveaway winner: Midheta Agic, congrats!
