This weekend I decided to stay home and relax with my boyfriend, my family and my dogs (see the last picture) and since the weather was awful to take outfit pictures, I decided it was the perfect occasion to show you my favorite make-up products since many of you asked what are the cosmetics I use the most and what are my suggestions.
Here above you see some of the new in from Dior from the "Grand Bal" collection, available in the shops from the 9th of November, where gold becomes the protagonist of your make-up and outfits. The collection includes also 24 karat gold tattoos designed by Camille Miceli, a luxury that you can pull out flawlessly.
The golden "sculptures" are lipsticks of different tones of red (can't wait to show you how they look) while the golden "treasure box" contains one of my favorite eyeshadows (the silver one is totally amazing).
Other lipsticks I am using lately are the one in front from the Kate Moss for Rimmel London collection (that I showed HERE), the gothic dark violet YSL and on the back the Guerlain one, but also the H&M lipgloss.

Cap or Sunnies?

Sometimes dressing up becomes a real pleasure for me: that's what happened the other day, when I got this skirt from Romwe and my only thought was to go out and rock it. This skirt is so versatile that I had million outfits in my mind, that's why I proposed two versions of the same look. I took advantage of the trend colors of the season wearing the leatherette pleated skirt, with the Max Mara grey top and the wedges from Asos, adding a color touch with the red lipstick from the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel London (that I absolutely suggest you). Do you prefer the "chic" version with the shades or the "rock" one with the studded cap?
Anyways, I am sorry if this week I did not post as much as usual, but I have to hand a project for school on Monday and the other day we were out all day on a field trip to this abandoned village we are working on. (See some pictures HERE).
Don't worry, I have some good projects for the blog and nice outfits to show you soon!
How is your life going? Tell me some good stories :)

The (not so) bad girl look

Denim Jacket casual chic

The other day I had fun playing around with styles, finding myself wearing an outfit that was composed of not so coherent pieces: the casual denim jacket from Vivilli, combined with the beanie, clashed so much with the black simple dress, my new cute watch from Feral Watches and the suede boots that the result was to me so interesting and I felt like sharing it with you. The aim was that of obtaining a perfect lazy weekender look without losing the glam side of me and I also have to say that the "bad girl" look is not for me, but that I like this compromise! Do you guys like it or not?
Also Roberto had fun taking pictures of my look and I can say that the I really like the results. Can you believe that the first picture after the text is composed of something like 70 pictures put all together in one? Well, I don't know how exactly explain it to you so if you are interested in this I think you should read more about it on the OldScratchedVinyl
Don't you think I look like a giant baby in these pictures? :P

One of my favorite websites for shopping is for sure Asos.com, the british company that offers the best variety of designs, styles and ranges of price online. One of the reason why I like it's because of the SALES, where I can spend small budgets on things I really like and I can find designer products on discount...PLUS the shipping is free worldwide. Could you ask for better? Check out my small selection of items from the sales...and obviously check out Asos.com after reading the post!

Dior Make Up Experience

In secondary school one day I told my mum I wanted to start using make up and the day after she came back home with some products from Dior, an eyeliner and some blush, because -she said- "Make-up products have to be of high quality". I remembered this on Monday, when I was so lucky to attend the Dior make-up event organized at the Mazzolari perfumery in the center of Milan, where trying all the cosmetics I wanted I realized that with such good easy-application products you can obtain a perfect make-up and manicure in 10 minutes! The protagonists of the day were the "Nude Collection" and the "Golden Jungle", from nail polishes to eye shadows all on the warm tones of browns, bronzes and militar green and the "Dramming Fountain" a system that provides Diorskin Nude Fluide foundation cream of different shades, depending on the tonality the client needs.  Keep reading, there's a lot more left to see!

Dolce & Gabbana Window

The other day Roberto and I were walking through via della Spiga in Milan, when we stumbled upon these shoes in the Dolce & Gabbana shop windows. I got hypnotized by the first pair, the most unique detailed and fragile pair of shoes I've ever seen (is that really porcelaine/glass? :O) , while Roberto liked more the second pair, maybe cause of the more classic shape and the little embroidered flowers.
I know this is a quite unusual post for my blog, and I remind you that if you are interested in this type of contents you can follow my photographer and partner on the OldScratchedVinyl, in which you can find street style pictures, unpublished pictures of me, some other pictures about the architecture around Milan. You might also enjoy his writings, that are less brief and more personal than mine...So go check it out and give him a feedback ! :)

The burgundy Cap

posted on: 13.10.12

Happy Saturday dear followers and readers! How was your week?
Today's outfit is a vintage look that becomes sporty, due to the touch of the winter burgundy cap, one of my musts for the season. The blouse is one of those I found in my mother's closet that I decided to wear inside the Choies spiked shorts, adding all the accessories which are basically jewelry from Estarer (remember to join the Estarer giveaway HERE) and the plastic folder from Muji that I decided to use as a bag for its simplicity and noncomformity.
By the way, I can't believe that the weather in Milan turned so cold so quickly and I am regretting I did not have a summer this year, spending more than one month in Mexico City, where the I "enjoyed" the rain season :P ..So I went now from long pants, blouse and light jacket, directly to coat and warm tights...Can you believe I've never worn a bikini this summer? :(
Anyways, I'll keep dreaming about beaches, ocean and warm sun now, while you are looking at the pictures! Let me know all your thoughts!

PS: On Monday I'll be a guest at Dior for a make up experience, I'll show you what happens as soon as possible :)

Fashion Weeks Recap

Dolce&Gabbana SS 13

Now that fashion weeks are officially finished, I finally collected here all the pictures I was saving on my desktop and publishing on my FACEBOOK PAGE. I can't call this post the "best of" fashion weeks, because it was really impossible to fit all of it in just one post and I did not want to bore you with a bunch of posts about every brand I liked, since I know that your favorite part of the blog are the outfits.
So enjoy here a post that is more creative and spontaneous than any other recap I could have published, hoping you'll like the impact of the pictures all together.
My favorite fashion collections?  The first place goes to Dolce&Gabbana, that brought fashion to another level in the past seasons, proposing a revisited italian elegance, a neo-baroque collection that is curated in every detail. Another favorite is the Balmain collection, made of "soft armors" of embroidered fabrics and black leather uniforms.
My favorite runway? From a scenographical point of view is the Luis Vuitton one, that made escalators incorporate with the catwalk.
What was your favorite fashion show?

Back to School

posted on: 10.10.12

Among all the things I could have done in my life, I would have never thought about studying architecture.
I tried with everything...When I was really little I wanted to be a gymnast, but I stopped training, I wanted to be a painter, an actress, a fashion designer, and then for years I spent my days composing verses, reading, practicing with everything I could to become a writer... I always gave up. Out of all the big or small talents I had, I've never really listened to any of them, I've always thought it was too easy to spend my life doing something I already could do. If for a long time I was looking at my life going in a specific direction, I've never really thought it could overturn from one day to the other, starting to go through steep paths, instead of going towards where some doors were open. It's only following my heart, my instinct and also a bit of craziness if everyday I can consider myself lucky for what I do, stressing trying to subdivide my time fairly into university-family-boyfriend-blog-collaborations. Over-stressing and complaining during hard and unsuccessful times (here I am talking about these first days in school again) and trying to always better myself and better everything I do at the same time.
So, if I write this post today, is not to tell you that the perfect look to wear at school is that one that finds a compromise between being cozy and being fashionable, and all this stuff you can read in other fashion blogs, but to tell you to not be scared when facing difficulties, we are all insecure and we are all afraid of showing that side of us, when it would be way much easier to just open our eyes and find the strength to deal with things, just looking at a person that has never given up on us, for example...

At the H&M Showroom

posted on: 7.10.12

When I went to the H&M showroom for the Anna dello Russo collection experience I also had the chance to see what's going to be in the H&M stores in around two weeks: for this season make a coat the protagonist of your outfit, accessorizing it with statement round-neck necklaces and collars, the colors for the clothes are dark green, purple, burgundy and black, while the accessories are important, together with shoes and bags, which are mostly in silver or shiny fabrics. What's your favorite piece?
Enjoy the pictures!
...and the bag in the last picture is what (according to my boyfriend) you should gift to your boyfriend for Christmas :)

Colour Loom

tweed coat and roundy sunglasses

I am for sure the type of girl that whenever a bit of cold comes, starts taking off her jackets from the closet to wear them with a dress and warm tights. In the same way in spring at the first warm I look for all my summer dresses in my closet, starting to pull them out with jackets/blazers and boots.
The main problem I have when seasons are changing is if I should wear tights or no tights with dresses and skirts and since the weather in my city is always unreliable and I always try to guess, with no clue, if it's going to be warm or not during the day. Argh, do you know what I am talking about?
In this case I was lucky, and I wore my new Sheinside Coat matching it with black and the strong pink of the Oasap transparent bag, on which I hung the AdR key chain that the sweet girls from the H&M showroom gifted me. A playful look, perfect to sport the trend of black, without looking boring!
Do you like the outfit?
Did you buy anything from the AdR capsule collection? So curious! I bought two enamel bracelets..Do you want to see them?

PS: The Punch Bracelets giveaway winner is...Trillina Pallemi. Congrats dear!

Anna dello Russo for H&M Experience

Yesterday I spent the morning at the H&M showroom in Milan, for the presentation of Anna dello Russo capsule collection, that will hit the stores on October the 4th: if like me you are curious to meet the "Lady Gaga" of fashion, don't forget to pass by the store of piazza San Babila, where Anna will meet all her fans.
For the beautiful experience I have to say thanks to the girls of the H&M showroom, that with their welcome and patience letting me try some pieces of the collection made everything even more special... The showroom was a real paradise: the beautiful clothes of the coming collections, cupcakes, macarons, fruit smoothies and a key chain from the AdR collection just for us... But to find out more about the collection you have to keep reading :)
